Andy to John Valentine Rationale

My mother doesn't remember the name of her great-grandfather, Andy Akers' father. The closest connection I can make is to John Valentine Akers.

Here's how I make the connection of Andrew "Andy" Jackson Akers as son of John Valentine Akers:

1. The 1870 Floyd County Kentucky Census lists "Andrew J. Akers, age 6" in the household of Valentine Akers, age 43 and Hannah Akers, age 46. My Andrew J. was born in May of 1863 (according to his grave marker) and would be seven in July 1870, so that's a little concerning. However, the only other Andrew Akers' I've found are one born in 1833 (son of David Daniel) and one on the 1870 census age 4 in the household of Caleb age 32 and Sultana age 28. The Andrew age 6 in the household of Valentine is the closest fit I've found so far.

2. The 1880 Pike County Kentucky Census lists an "Andrew Akers, age 16". Valentines second wife, Millicent, is listed. Pike County was formed from Floyd County in .... Andrews older siblings are now out of the home.
